In addition, I’ve read countless books on the subject of gold prospecting - too many to list!

 

There are also numerous small streams, creeks, gulches, towns, etc., not listed to the map on the left to keep in mind as you go on your adventure to hunt for gold! - When I first went to the Mother Lode region, it seemed liked almost every creek, river, steam, etc., had gold - I even found gold in small little seasonal creeks coming through areas just off the highway! It takes work to sample pan up and down a waterway you come upon but it’s worth it when color shows up in your pan! Don’t think that you just dig any where or any way and the first pan will have gold (sometimes that happened to me) but most of the time, sampling is how you do it! And it takes work and patience, but you get good exercise and you experience the thrill of finding real gold!
